About Me

Hello! I am Robert Anderson. I am a Technical Director with extensive experience working with Automation, Lighting, Sound, and IT. I am currently employed as a Mechanical Designer for Entertainment Project Services (EPS) out of Las Vegas. At EPS, we work with clients around the world to take conceptual designs through to completion. Due to NDA Restrictions, none of my work with EPS will be shared here unless specifically authorized. Prior to EPS, I was an Assistant Professor at the University of South Alabama, and taught at Southern Illinois University and Southeast Missouri State University prior to that. I earned my Masters of Fine Arts in Theatre Design and Technology from Southern Illinois University in 2019.

I earned my Masters of Fine Arts in Theatre Design and Technology from Southern Illinois University in 2019. I focused in scenic automation utilizing commercially available and custom components. Some of my more notable experiences at SIU include designing a wirelessly operated automation system for The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, published in the 2019 USITT Tech Expo, as well as designing and machining custom sheave blocks for tracking scenery for my thesis production, Sunday in the Park with George.
